Europe is magical around the holiday season. With lights everywhere, mulled wine galore, and massive Christmas markets it’s easy for everyone to get in the holiday spirit! I have spent the holidays in a bunch of cities around the continent, but London is still a stand out! Below are some of my favorite things to do as well as some I have saved on Instagram for future visits. Cheers to Christmas across the pond!

St. Pancras Train station

Every year the train stations puts up an amazing tree with a different tree. When we went it was a tree of all Disney toys! This year (2019) it’s a massive Eiffel Tower.

Winter Wonderland

Hyde Park hosts a winter wonderland every year and it’s epic! This massive German Christmas market in the heart of London is the perfect spot to celebrate. Enjoy shopping with local artists, delicious mulled wine, and a circus (for the indoor lovers) or ice skating (for those with tons of layers)!

Somerset House

The Somerset house is truly gorgeous in a way only London can be. With a beautiful ice rink that is actually big enough to skate without running into everyone, it’s the perfect spot to get in the festive mood! If you don’t want to skate, it’s still a beautiful view and they have a bar that overlooks the rink.

Harrods

Who doesn’t love shopping during the holidays? Harrods is a London staple and with some amazing window displays, great shopping, and a huge upscale food court in the basement it’s the perfect spot to get festive and escape the cold for a few!

Covent Garden

Inside the market they have the most beautiful lights! The Whittard and The Savoy are both there and have a great high tea option if you’re looking for a cozy afternoon spot. We also stopped by Laduree for a birds eye view of everyone shopping below and some amazing macarons!

The West End

The West End is London’s version of Broadway and the talent is incredible! If you’re flexible, schedule a trip to TKTS in Picadilly Circus and get discounted day of tickets for an amazing show at a great price!
